Update: According to a tweet by PhiladelphiaFlyers.com's Anthony SanFilippo, Rinaldo will miss at least a week with his injury
" recall Tye McGInn from the as Zac Rinaldo will miss at least one week with a thigh laceration. "                                                       - Anthony SanFilippo, @AnthonySan37

Tye McGinn received an invite to Flyers Training Camp, but failed to make the roster and was sent back to the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL.

But an injury to Zac Rinaldo during Sunday's game against the Sabres, could allow McGinn an opportunity to play with Philadelphia.

McGinn was called up by the Flyers after the game and could be filling in for Rinaldo if he misses time.

Nothing is guaranteed however, because both Jody Shelley and Tom Sestito are healthy scratches on the roster.

Rinaldo received 20 stitches in his right leg after leaving the game in the first period on Sunday. He was seen limping down the tunnel on the way back to the locker room, so his status for Tuesday night's game is uncertain.

McGinn will likely fill out the last spot on the Flyers' 23-man roster according to the Daily New's Frank Seravalli, with the expectation that Rinaldo will go on the short-term injury list.

The 22-year old forward has 11 goals and four assists, to total 15 points in 33 games for Adirondack this season.
