Briere is back and other Flyers notes

January 26, 2013

Forward Danny Briere, who has yet to play this season due to a hairline wrist fracture, will be in the lineup tonight against the Florida Panthers according to the Flyers' official website.

Eric Wellwood was sent back to the Adirondack Phantoms this morning in order to make room on the roster for Briere according to PhiladelphiaFlyers.com's Anthony SanFilippo.

Brayden Schenn will be returning from a one game suspension for his hit on New Jersey's'Anton Volchenkov   in Tuesday night's 3-0 loss to the Devils.

Mike Knuble will also be in the Flyers' lineup tonight, he was signed to a one-year deal on Thursday night. Knuble was signed to fill in for Scott Hartnell after the Flyers learned that their leading goal scorer from last season would miss at least four weeks with a broken foot.

Rookie Scott Laughton will play in his fifth game tonight.

After the game the Flyers will have to decide between keeping him on the roster for the rest of the season or sending him back to juniors. According to CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio, Laughton is likely to stay given the team's injury situation.
