There was some trade news to report on Monday night in the midst of the Flyers, Leafs game.
The Flyers have traded minor league forward Mike Testwuide to the Calgary Flames for another minor league forward in Mitch Wahl.
Wahl will be assigned to play with the Flyers' AHL affiliate the Adirondack Phantoms.
The 23-year old was taken by the Flames as the 48th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Level Draft, but remained with his WHL junior team, the Spokane Chiefs, for that season.
In 2009 Wahl was called up to the AHL, where he played for the Calgary affiliate Abbotsford Heat.
Wahl remained with the Heat up to the 2011-12 season, when he was demoted to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL then loaned to the Hamilton Bulldogs, the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate. He returned to the Flames' organization following a 22-game stint in Montreal's minor league system.
In 54 games at the AHL level, Wahl has five goals and 10 assists, including a goal in six games played this season.
Testwuide, 26, has been a member of the Phantoms since 2010, tallying 32 goals and 38 assists in 161 games over the past three seasons. He has two goals in 19 games this season.
