VIDEO: Hartnell talks about injury. Also, a mystery goalie

January 30, 2013

Scott Hartnell spoke to the media about his injury following the Flyers' Wednesday practice.

Hartnell, out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot, talked about his road to recovery and what he has been doing to pass the time . He also shared his thoughts about the Flyers' struggling special teams, which has been a popular point of conversation lately.

In other news:

Ilya Bryzgalov got the day off and did not practice on Wednesday. Instead, an unknown goaltender took the ice with backup Michael Leighton.

The mystery goaltender's name is Joe Rivera according to CSNPhilly.com's Sarah Baicker. A look at Rivera's Twitter account shows that he is a real-estate agent from New Jersey.

It is hard to argue that Bryzgalov's day off wasn't well deserved. His 26 saves kept the Flyers in the game on Tuesday night, proving to be one of the few bright spots in the frustrating 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers.
