The lockout is over,and the schedules have been released. Here is a look at the Flyers' 48-game stretch.
All games scheduled are within the Eastern Conference. The Flyers will play 18 games against Atlantic Division opponents.
Four games against the Penguins on January 19 (H), February 20 (R), March 7 (H) and March 24 (R).
Four games against the Islanders on February 18 (R), March 28 (H), April 9 (R) and April 25 (H).
Five games against the Devils on January 22 (R), February 15 (R), March 13 (R), March 15 (H) and April 18 (H).
And finally five games against the Rangers on January 24 (H), January 29 (R), March 5 (R), March 26 (H) and April 16 (H).
Playing two games against the Rangers early in the season could be a huge advantage for the Flyers, because Henrik Lundqvist, a huge reason why the Flyers could not beat the Rangers last season, told Newsday that not playing during the lockout and the lack of a preseason will keep him from top performance when the season starts.
So the Flyers will have the chance to capitalize on an unprepared Lundqvist when it comes time to play the Rangers, at least for the first game.
Philadelphia will wrap up the season on April 27, when they play the Ottawa Senators on the road.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs will begin on April 30, and the winner of the Stanley Cup will be determined by April 28, according to a tweet by Chris Johnston of the Canadian Press.
The Flyers have announced that tickets will go on sale this Tuesday at 10 AM ET. They also announced that they will hold an open practice at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, January 17 at 6 PM ET.
Tickets for the practice are free and will be made available on the team's website this Monday at 12 PM ET.
All other practices at the Skate Zone in Vorhees, New Jersey will be open to the public.
