Flyers still alive amidst trade rumors and April Fools' jokes

April 1, 2013

After dropping games to the Penguins, Rangers and Islanders, the Flyers were able to bounce back with huge wins against the Bruins and Capitals.

The results leave them two points out of the eighth and final playoff spot with 13 games left to play.

Although playoff hopes are still a long shot, the bottom line is that the Flyers are still alive. With the trade deadline coming up in two days, the rumors are showing up again.

San Jose's Ryane Clowe, Calgary's Jay Bouwmeester and former Flyer now Dallas Star Jaromir Jagr are names that have popped up.

April Fools'

April 1, the one day where everyone has to double check the date and no one is spared from what can be some very harsh pranks, like the one from Pekka Rinne and Shea Weber.

You know what's really funny Shea? Forcing the Predators into bankruptcy.

Meanwhile, actual Flyers Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell pulled their own prank.

Just to clarify, Hartnell has not been traded to St. Louis.

Oh and by the way, Max Talbot's leg is broken. That isn't a joke.
